After customization, this script allows the deployment of a standard set of Group Policy and Group Policy Preferences, plus a few other things, in a fraction of the time that these would normally take. A typical deployment will take about a minute. While this has been tested and used in production environments, the best practice for deploying these settings is to create them in a test environment and restore the GPO's to a production environment. The majority of the options in this script can be very useful in setting up a new or existing production desktop environment. The purpose is to eliminate the repetitive legwork. Please read the documentation thoroughly and use the script with caution.
This script was originally developed on Windows 2008 R2, but has been updated to work on Windows 2012/R2 and Windows 2016. Due to updates of PowerShell over the years, some features produce errors on Windows 2008 R2. Ensure the environment that the script is running in has the the latest Windows Management Framework https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/wmf/readme installed.
